I sent back my cheese grits because it had a cartelized onion in it like someone stirred it with a spoon that was used to sauté onions. They were playing nice jazz so I could hear myself think and conversations could flow. It is reasonably clean and there is a big free parking lot right outside. Chris was my waiter and he was lovely. This will be my morning spot on my evergreen plaza shopping trips. bill was 20.71 for coffee and meal sans grits so not too bad. Between the jazz and the coffee I was cool. ”

“ Today I went to Hearty Cafe Pancake House with my guy and his family. It was 6 of us and we really enjoyed the ambiance and food. The only thing I didn't care for was the hash browns. Other than that everything was good. It was quiet our server Angel was Great!! He dealt with and ignored the sarcastic jokes. Our food came quick and the vibe was delightful. I loved that they had fall decorations up it's really cute and quaint. They have off the street lot parking and the restrooms were clean. I would recommend definitely! ”

“ Visit Hearty Cafe Pancake House for the first time and enjoyed the experience overall. Upon entering we greeted immediately and offered to sit wherever we liked. The server came by immediately with coffee too and to get drink orders. The coffee was fresh and hot! I ordered the Louisiana Chicken skillet pictured in the review with an English muffin. Everything was good and flavorful too. The peppers had a kick and that was really delicious. If you don't like spicy food I would consider removing it. The chicken could use a little more seasoning but there was salt and pepper at the table so no big deal. I would also like my hashbrowns a little more crispier. All of which can be fixed on another visit. I definitely would go back and order this again. I will also inquire if they have salsa verde because I think it would take the skillet to another level. ”
